News : 07/15/2021 ~ Titan Delays Doctor Who Missy 2.4 amid speculation of a Captain Jack appearance ~ Part 2

Let's turn up the clock to July 15th, 2021, today. Titan Comics was scheduled to release the Doctor Who Comic 2.4 - Missy Part 4, this final conclusion of this until now on time series. Here's an Amazon link to this (with new release date as of today):

This comic was presold to consumers with a release date of July 14th 2021.

It is now indicated as being released on July 28th and there are no indications as to if paper copies might have made it to comic book retailers.

I highly doubt Jack was gonna appear in this, it was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Master's first appearance if Jack was gonna appear it would have likely just been a cameo, anything more than that would have taken from the celebration of the Master.

I agree with you that Captain Jack by John Barrowman was very unlikely to be in a premium role, yet the it is very likely that he would have appeared as a "cameo" as you note. This series was quite heavy in cameo appearances with the Roger Delgado Master, the third, fourth, twelfth doctors, even the thirteenth doctor, River Song, the Cybermen, the Daleks, the Eric Roberts Master, the Sacha Dhawan Master. Sarah Jane Smith, UNIT, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and even oddly enough Charlie Sheen. An appearance of Captain Jack would have certainly not been unexpected and it seems extremely viable as an explanation for the delay.
